At the height of apartheid, an international group of workers and students answered Oliver Tambo’s call for undercover agents.
Join us for the first ever screening of ‘London Recruits’ in Swansea. A true story, this film is an adaption of the booker of the same name, which chronicles the story of workers and students who were recruited in London to go undercover in Apartheid South Africa, carrying out missions for the ANC and the anti-apartheid movement. Many of the recruits went on multiple missions and unfortunately some were caught and faced years of imprisonment and torture in service of the anti-Apartheid movement.
We will be join by one of the London Recruits who is depicted in the film, Steve Marsling. After the viewing we will host a Q&A session with panel including Steve in which attendees are free to ask and discuss the film and the wider anti-apartheid struggle.
Join us for what will no doubt be an unforgettable evening!
