Puer to Senex – Yoan Segot (France / UK)

Puer to Senex is a psychogeographic film series documenting a solo van journey from London to Nordkapp, the northernmost point of Europe, and back. This screening presents the first episode: shot in the forests and lakesides of southern Sweden, manuscript fragments appear as captions over landscape footage, mapping an inner journey alongside a geographical one. The work applies Carl Jung’s framework of individuation — the passage from Puer Aeternus to Senex — to territory that is as much psychological as it is physical. Uncharted in every sense: a man alone on a road he has never travelled, looking for a self he hasn’t met yet.

What can sound reveal about place that maps, photographs and historical records cannot? Blending immersive audio documentary, binaural field recordings, and live storytelling, multidisciplinary artist Blake Bfeil guides audiences through abandoned space across the United States. Focusing on a vacant Summer School in Topeka, Kansas – a site connected to the landmark Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education – the performance exploring listening as a form of psychogeographical navigation. Through the sonic reverie of fading transmissions, this program investigates how sound can uncover emotional, historical, cultural and even spiritual territories hidden beneath our visual landscape.

Performing Uncharted Territories – Elia Torrecilla (Spain)

What if uncharted territories are not remote places but unnoticed dimensions of thespaces we inhabit every day? This online lecture-performance explores the body as a cartographic instrument capable of revealing invisible urban geographies through touch, attention and minimal performative actions. Drawing on artistic projects centred on walking, guided tours and performative cartographies, the presentation proposes that territories are not simply discovered but produced through embodied experience. Combining critical reflection, documentation and short participatory actions, the session invites participants to rethink mapping as a performative practice, where the body creates alternative ways of perceiving and inhabiting familiar environments.

We Are Making a Film About Mark Fisher – Close and Remote (UK)

Join us for our feature film for its second showing at Volcano Theatre, following the films premier at Volcano Theatre two weeks ago – if you missed it, this is your chance! Sophie Mellor and Simon Poulter, working as Close and Remote, developed the film between 2024-2025. Through instagram (@markfisherfilm), they enlisted the support of 70 collaborators. The film was made with no budget, no studio backing and no institutional permissions.The film explores solidarity, shared labour and digital connectivity. It enacts what Fisher insisted was still possible – decapitalised cultural production, collective agency among the ruins of neoliberal atomisation.
