Every Monday: back-to-back one-hour classes.

The new 2026 season begins on Monday 12 January. ​

4PM DANCE FOR KIDS – FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AGED 4 – 7 to explore movement rhythm and creativity through music and dance.
5PM DRAMA & MOVEMENT – A FUN CLASS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 8–11 that focuses on drama, improvisation, and movement, working collaboratively and creatively together.

The classes are led by Catherine Bennett, Volcano’s Movement Director – a professional choreographer, director and dancer with vast experience in working with young people. ​

Free tea and ​coffee is provided for parents/guardians during the classes.

Volcano classes are a bit different from the average dance or drama class. We don’t make children learn hundreds of steps or lines. Instead we concentrate on equipping them with the freedom and confidence to make their own creative choices, and the skills to work in co-operation with others. It’s a safe and fun space to explore their creativity and originality.

Charges for the sessions are optional, so that everyone is able to attend. If you are able, we request a contribution of £3 per child per session (£30 per child for the season), which helps to support our activities for children and young people. This can be paid when booking online, in person class-by-class, or you can pay for the season in advance.

Booking online in advance is helpful, as it allows us to plan for the size of the group. However, everyone is welcome on the day, subject to space.
