"My intentions with these in person workshops are to bring LGBTQ+ individuals together towards the end of lockdown to focus on getting back in touch with our bodies through creating work physically, to bring physical theatre to Trans* and Queer people who may not have had the opportunity to explore it before and to hopefully create something, be that a piece, a routine and/or a space where the participants feel safe to be physically natural and comfortable. The focus of the workshops is playfulness, mindfulness and fun, because we could all do with a bit more fun right now, so we'll be exploring improvisation through Artaudian and Brechtian exercises, meditation through movement and ground work and relationships through Boal inspired pair work and physical improv."
Hi. My name is Gabe, I’m 20 and I’m a Non-Binary Director, Choreographer and Performer and I specialise in Queer Theatre, Physical Improvisation and Play. I am currently finishing up a BA in Contemporary Performance Practice at Central School of Speech and Drama where I’ve been able to expand upon my practice, utilizing forms such as film, drag and socio political work exploring themes such as queer history, relationships and equality/equity.
