Volcano Theatre is thrilled to launch our very first Scratch Night on Wednesday 4th February 2026, and we want YOU to be part of it!
This is your chance to share new ideas, test out bold scenes, poems, songs or any performance experiment in front of a supportive live audience.
What is Scratch Night?
– A fun, informal platform for artists to workshop short pieces (5–10 minutes).
– A safe, inspiring environment with fellow creators.
– Perfect for trying fresh collaborations, exploring new formats or simply getting feedback.
The First edition’s theme is: “Between Two Tongues”
Explore the space where languages, dialects or modes of expression collide:
– Stories told across cultures
– Dialogue that shifts perspective
– Words that break boundaries
However you interpret it.
Whether it’s a scene in two languages, a poem mixing styles or a movement piece on communication—bring us your boldest experiments!
We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
