This exhibition documents and celebrates community resilience through the lens of West African photographers and storytellers.
Individuals from all walks of life have risen to the challenge of the pandemic and become bridgebuilders for their communities.
From collective farming to innovative cooking solutions, communities have risen to meet these challenges and continue to put nutritious food on the table.
Communities have adapted to create new opportunities to produce and sell goods, to save and invest money together.
This time of disruption and challenges has also become a time to communicate, innovate and learn.
These activities have been made possible by a grant from The Welsh Government to fund an emergency COVID-19 response project in Nigeria, Guinea, Senegal and The Gambia. The photographs and videos were taken by local artists: Nelson Owoicho (Nigeria), Mountaga Dramé (Guinea), Maodo Malick Sall (Senegal) and Mohamed Touray (The Gambia).
